DAY 120 - 17/06/2010 - Broome, WA

Today we spent all day at the beach.

We drove onto the Northern end of Cable Beach and shortly after discovered it was the nudey end.

The kids had to keep ducking as to avoid a full view of a 70 something block and tackle or an old girl with boobs down to her belly button.

We drove further up the beach to avoid the nudist and set up our posy for the day.

I don't think I even put my glass of wine down, not even for a swim.

We started to notice the tide was coming in and coming in quite quickly. We thought better to leave while we're still able to because when the tide is in you cannot get around the rocks to get in or out of the northern end. We packed up in a panic, threw everything in the car, got in and zoomed out of the there quick sticks. The kids had to duck again as to avoid mental scarring. It was a crack up seeing all these oldies in the nude, lying on their towels reading a book in a full playboy pose or standing at the waters edge in a friendly group having a chat about god knows what in the full starkers.

We made it to the rocks but it was too late and we couldn't get back to the spot we had come from because the water was too high. So we had to stay put but the worse thing was is we were now only metres away from the nudey part. The car blocked most of that view but every now and then you would get some walking past in the nude having a leisurely stroll. If we spotted a stray nudist we would call out duck and the girls would duck their heads.

We had the best day ever. We sunbaked, swam and ate nibblies with our wine and beer. We stayed here until our sunset camel ride.

Thats Kerry Stoke's (owner of Channel 7) holiday house in the background with all the palm trees.

The camel ride was fun. We were on the last 3 camels. Waz, Lilly and Alicia at the rear, then Renee and then Taylah and I.

Renee's camel had a facination with my leg that was freaking me out and everytime it opened its mouth it had green like goo in it and I was so worried that it would spit on me. By the second leg of the ride Warren's camel had a mouth full of spit and it looked like it was going to give it all to Renee so she was panicking also.

The ride was fun but it was a little too long for our liking.

Renee offered to look after the kids tonight giving Warren and I an opportunity to go out for dinner. Renee and the kids had a pizza and movie night and Waz and I had the best chinese food ever. Son Ming is in Chinatown and their food was very expensive, delicious and worth every cent.

We really wanted to go out afterwards but we were so exhausted from the day at the beach that we returned home.
