The road into the El Questro Wilderness Park was even worse but we got through it ok and even conquered some unexpected river crossings.
We are staying at the El Questro Station. I got a nice little surprise when we got to our camp site. I walked into the van and found a gooey mess everywhere and the fridge door open. Nearly a whole carton of eggs cracked in the fridge door. The gooey egg mess was spilling down the door and onto the floor and under the fridge. It took ages to clean the mess up and boy was it smelly.
By the afternoon our travel buddies had all arrived and we were a convoy of four again. The girls got their mates back. All the kids went down to the waterhole for a swim. It was nice to see everyone together again. You wouldn't think that not that long ago we were all total strangers and it feels like we have known them all for years.
We are only here one night so we set off to do some siteseeing while we still have half the day left.
We did the Emma Gorge walk. It was long and tricky but enjoyable.

There was a waterfall at the end and a swimable water hole. The water was way too cold for my liking but Warren and the girls went in. Lilly didn't last too long in the water and came and joined me. We really enjoyed this walk and the waterfall and surrounds were spectacular.
When we left Emma Gorge we saw a pretty cool looking Boab tree. We love these trees. Apparently you only see them in WA.

On our way back to camp the sun had started its decent behind the mountain range.
Back home we enjoyed a catch up drink with everyone and the girls enjoyed an outdoor movie with their friends.
Our convoy will be split in half tomorrow. Two of us are continuing our journey along the Gibb and the other half are staying in El Questro one more night and are taking more time to do the Gibb. We are all meeting up again in Broome.
