DAY 179 - 15/08/2010 - Geraldton, WA

After the hospital visit we took the girls down to the waterfront for some hot chip sangers and a play in the park. Lilly was so excited just to be out and about for a change.

All Aboard or as Lilly says "All Baboard"

We also visited the HMAS Sydney II memorial site here in the heart of Geraldton high up on the hill overlooking the town.

Lest We Forget

645 people perished when the HMAS Sydney II ship sunk off the coast of WA on 19th November 1941. The ship was found on the 16th March 2008 and there are many places around Geraldton and Carnarvon which commemorate its existence and demise, including this memorial.

We spent the rest of the afternoon driving in and around the outskirts of Geraldton to see parts that I havn't seen before.

Tonight we enjoyed Lilly's early night of slumber and some games of Rummikub. Alicia and Taylah are getting better at this game and are hard to beat.
