DAY 163 - 30/07/2010 - Edaggee Rest Area, WA & Denham, WA

Breakky and milks by the fire on this chilly morning.

We take the Shark Bay turn off and there is still some kilometres to go before we arrive in Denham.

Our carnie friends Chris and Rod are staying in a caravan park in Denham and we will be meeting up with them today. We are only planning on staying one night in the caravan park and one night at one of the free stays on the peninsula.

We stop plenty of times to take photographs of the beautiful scenery between the Shark Bay turn off and Denham. The water is an amazing colour and the scenery is one to be admired.

We arrive in Denham and are very surprised to see that it is so quiet here. Its a quaint little fishing village. I thought it would have been more commercialised than this. There are only a few shops along the water front and surprisingly quite a few houses.

We go to visit our friends first and check into the same caravan park as them. I get a load of washing done and hung and then with our friends walk down to the waterfront. They fill us in on all the things to see and do around here. It seems Caleb has been busy catching squid from the jetty.

All the kids enjoy a play on the playground equipment followed by a stroll along the water but we are forced to retreat back to the van park because of the increase in wind and the drop in temperature.

After dinner all the kids pack into our van to watch movies and Waz, Lilly and I go to Rod and Chris's van for drinks and cards. Lilly watches a movie and soon after falls asleep on the lounge. They taught us a new card game which is very addictive and enjoyable to play. It was great to meet up with them again.
