DAY 270 - 13/11/2010 - Sydney, NSW (Quakers Hill)

Tonight we are celebrating Fran and Saman's Engagement. The theme is masquerade and it is in a local hall.

This morning was a lazy start to the day with a big breakfast. Bacon and eggs for the adults and pancakes for the kids. Josh made the pancake batch from scratch and the girls help him cook them.

A quick trip to Parklea Markets to get the girls a Nintendo DS chip and Lilly some going out shoes for tonight. She has grown out of the pair we brought with us.

Its very hot and humid today which doesn't help when your running around doing errands.

Off to the hall at 2.30pm to meet up with the family to help set up for tonights party. Waz transports party supplies from mum's house to the hall and I hang back to decorate and set up. There are lots of helpers and we get it all done quite quickly.

Back home to get showered and dressed for the party and we are running a little late. Looking forward to wearing my new dress and new shoes. Woohoo. Its been a while since we've all gotten dressed up.

Everyone has a great night and the party is a success. We had a combination of Sri Lanken and Italian food. What a combination and all so very yummy. Desserts were also mouth watering as usual when my family are involved in any of the cooking. Mum's Tiramisu was a hit. My sisters and I hid in the kitchen (the VIP room) and engorged ourselves in Tiramisu.

I had such a good time with my family tonight. Its been a while since we've all been together like this. I will miss them so much.

Fran and Saman.......Congratulations on your engagement. xxxx
