We drove down to Augusta, to the most South Western point of Australia to see the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse which is the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia and its where you can see the meeting point of the Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean.
Before we get to the lighthouse we stop off to have lunch on the rocks and see the Historical Wheel. They used this wheel to transport water when the lighthouse was being built.

Views from the water wheel.
Watching the waves crash onto the rocks.
Everyones got to do one of these silly shots.
Warren, Alicia and Taylah are booked in for the lighthouse tour and climb to the top of it.
Lilly and I stay on the ground and wait for them to appear on the lighthouse balcony.
Lilly was not allowed to go up because they only allow 4 years and up to do the climb. She was not impressed at being left behind by her beloved Daddy and made sure everyone on the peninsula knew it. She threw the biggest tantrum and carried on like a pork chop then calmed down until she saw them on the balcony then started up again. Fun for me.
The girls thought the views were awesome from the top and enjoyed the ghost stories related to this lighthouse. The story was that a person died whilst building the lighthouse and he smoked tobacco. The guide told them that every now and then you can smell a strong aroma of tobacco and no one has smoked there in over 20 or 30 years.
While down in Augusta we thought we would visit a cave in the area. We chose the Lakes Cave as it was recommended by others and described as prettiest of all the caves.
There are lots of stairs to get down to the entrance of the cave and once inside there is a path to follow. It definately is very pretty and very old. The tour guide tells us the cave is over 1 million years old. There is an underground cave lake here and there are random lights placed strategically throughout but at one point they turn off all the lights and we are in complete darkness.

By the time we get back to the van park, Carni's Marie and Simon have arrived and are also staying here for the weekend. Looking forward to catching up with them. The girls are excited to see Jasmine and Jade again.
