DAY 205 - 10/09/2010 - Quinns Rocks, WA & Secret Harbour, WA

We've left Quinns Rocks and drove straight to Renee and Devin's place in Secret Harbour. They live in a nice estate very much like North Lakes but it is next to a beach and their townhouse is about 100m away from the beach entrance. Fantastic location when the summer heat kicks in.

Once we have all had a catch up chat and we are settled in for our stay, Renee takes the girls and I around to Dev's nans place to visit Renee's pug dog, Gizmo. Connie is lovely and Gizmo is adorable. The girls fall in love with him and will not leave him alone the whole time. Seeing them with Gizmo today has made me rethink my "No Dog" rule.

Meet "Gizmo"

When we returned home we all went for a walk down to the beach. The weather has been eratic here last few days as was in Quinns Rocks. There is a lot of seaweed on the sand and the waters edge. Its a little chilly today and the beach is deserted. Its quite a long beach and they have a Surf Life Saving Club. We will have to come see it again on a nicer day when the weather is better, the water clearer and the seaweed has cleared up.

Lilly and I duck down to the local shops to get a couple of things. We visit Donut King first and I treat myself to a coffee and Lilly to some hot cinammon donuts. Then we pop into Woolys and she is my big helper and carries the basket around for me. She acts all grown up and is so well behaved for a change.

Renee and Devin are out tonight and don't return till tomorrow. They are hot air balooning this weekend in Northam and Waz and I and the girls are enjoying the comforts of a house and foxtel. Sports, sports and more sports. He throws the occasional documentry in and then back to sports. Waz has died and gone to heaven. We all fight over the remote and the minute one person gets up the channel is changed. Instead of spreading ourselves around the house we are all huddled on the lounge watching tv. You'd think we would be sick of being in the same room as each other but I am sure it will be a slow weening process.
