Lilly got to watch a show on dinosaurs. She was so good and listening so intently to the lady. It was great to see her interact with other kids, calling out answers and joining in with the others. I realised at this moment that she is so ready for pre-school or daycare when its time to settle.
Horizons, the planetarium was as good as I had hoped it would be. We watched a show called the Planets and Beyond. Its about life on Earth and the possibility of life on other planets. Its an indoor theatre with a 180 degree screen. It actually felt like we were in outer space. The operator showed us a view of the night sky and he also show us how to find certain stars, planets, galaxies and constellations that can be seen with the naked eye on a clear night away from the cities. Awesome. Alicia and Taylah really enjoyed the experience. Can't wait for when we are camped out in the middle of nowhere in the outback under the stars and spot the things we were shown today.
The girls had an absolute ball here and didn't want to leave but unfortunately it was closing time and they hadn't seen all the displays and were very disappointed.
After Scitech we walked around Harbourside which is a centre full of outlet shops. The same as you would find in DFO but other types as well. Got a couple of bargain items that we couldn't do without.
It felt like a long train ride home. Everyone was buggered and hungry for dinner but noone wanted to cook so we topped a great day with some yummy and very expensive Indian takeout.
