Our plans for today was to leave Esperance, drive over to the National Park and have lunch there then head onto Norseman where we would spend the night before our trek across the Nullarbor.
We entered the National Park, drove for a while then took the turn off to Lucky Bay. Our first glimpse of any water here was when we were approaching Thistle Cove.

At this moment I knew we had to spend the night here. The water was so beautiful, nothing I have ever seen in my life. We stopped and had a closer look. The wind was quite chilly so we didn't hang around for too long.
We set up camp at the Lucky Bay camp grounds right on the beach.
Lucky Bay
The camp fees are cheap, the facilities are good and they have solar powered showers. What more could we possibly need or want? The sand here is as white as snow and soft as talcum powder and the water a turquoise blue. The only downfall is, is that its too cold to swim.
We have a bbq lunch and then go for a drive around and check out the various lookouts along the way.

We go for a drive along the beach.
and I get my souvenir sand.
Straight for the dunes
We also go for a walk along one of the coastal trails to burn some energy and take in the ocean views.
We all go to bed relatively early but my sleep was broken with plenty of loo visits throughout the night and the night sky at 1am looked amazing. So many stars.
