DAY 103 - 31/05/2010 - Jabiru - Kakadu National Park, NT

We visit Nourlangie today which involves a walk, viewing of Aboriginal Artwork and a lookout.

The artwork was very impressive. They were so much more detailed than the ones around Ayers Rock. We were lucky to be there the same time as a guided tour. We followed this group around listening in on the tour operator. He knew lots about the Dreamtime stories and the local indigenous clans. When you know the history behind the drawings it makes all that more interesting.

On our way back to camp we stopped in at the Cultural Centre where we also got an insight on the local clans of this region.

Enough with the siteseeing and learning. It is now time for a swim and a drink back at the resort. We have yet to check out the pool side bar which, just quietly, should really have been a priority.

The water is so cold but the girls don't care. They jump straight in.

We plonk ourselves beside the pool and what do you know, its happy hour. Lilly put on a show for all with a hip wiggling dance. No shame. I wonder who she takes after.
